Our Board of Trustees

Mr. Andy Waibel, Chair

Andy most recently served as the Sr. Warden of the parish. Andy is a Partner at Waibel Energy Systems. Andy has been married for 25 years and has 4 children; Grace, age 20 and a sophomore at Skidmore College, Hannah age 18 and a senior at Ransom Everglades, Veve age 9, and Andrew 6 years of age. The oldest two are proud alumnae and the youngest two are current St. Philip’s students. Andy and his wife, Dr. Jill Waibel, have lived in Coral Gables for the last 10 years. A faithful member of our church, Andy continues to serve on the Vestry and lead many outreach initiatives.

Ms. Ingrid Ponce, Secretary

A parishioner, and School parent. She is married to Scott Ponce and has two children – Isa and Elijah. Her oldest, Isa, graduated from St. Philip’s in 2014. Her son, Elijah, graduated from St. Philip’s in 2019.  Both are students at Ransom Everglades. In addition to being an active member of our Church and School community, Ingrid is a shareholder with the law firm of Stearns Weaver Miller.

Mrs. Bibi Mojena, Treasurer

Has served in various capacities on our Board – including Board Chair, and SHA President. Bibi is a Miami native and a graduate of the University of Florida. She is a CPA by training and along with her husband Hector, is the parent of alums Thomas ( a senior at Belen Jesuit ) and Timothy ( a freshman at Riviera Day School). Bibi and her family are members of our parish.

The Rev. Dr. Mary E. Conroy, Rector

Has been at St. Philip’s since September 2009 and was installed as the Sixth Rector on September 16, 2012. She has served churches in Colorado, Massachusetts, Texas, and Arizona.  Born and raised in Williamstown, MA, Reverend Conroy has an M.Div and D.Min from Seabury-Western Theological Seminary in Evanston, Illinois. She recently completed a Certificate in Non-Profit Management from the Kellogg School at Northwestern University.

Jasmine B. Harris, EdD, Head of School

Head of School, has been working in education for over 25 years, and in independent education since 2005.  Jasmine holds a Certificate in Non-Profit Leadership from Southern Methodist University, a B.A. in Psychology from the University of Texas at Austin, an M.Ed. in Educational Leadership from Texas Woman’s University, and a Doctor of Education from Baylor University. A native Texan, Jasmine, her husband John, and their two sons now call Florida home.

Mr. Paul DiMarco, Senior Warden

Serves both the Church and the School this year. Raised in Orlando, Paul moved to Miami 14 years ago. He is the Treasurer at MasTec, an American multi-national infrastructure, and construction company. He and his wife, Sherri, have 2 children; Christian, 8, ( a current 3rd grader), and Ansley, 5 years of age.

Mr. Cory Eichhorn, Vestry Liaison

Mr. Eichhorn is an attorney in Holland & Knight’s Miami office, where he is a member of the Litigation and Dispute Resolution Practice. He and his wife Jen Christanson are the parents of Ryan (Class of 2020)  and Owen (Class of 2019), who both attend Palmer Trinity School. He and his family are active members of the St. Philip’s parish.

Mrs. Dale Dowlen, Trustee

A parent to two adult children. Two of her five grandsons, Dale (4th Grade)  and Will (2nd Grade), are students at St. Philip’s. Dale and her husband, Lon, are both active members of the St. Philip’s parish community and they are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary this weekend.

Mrs. Ana McDevitt, Trustee

Born and raised in Coral Gables and graduated from Carrollton School of the Sacred Heart. Ana moved back to Coral Gables and joined the St. Philip’s community along with her husband, Dave, and their 3 children: Patrick (5th Grade), Luisa (2nd Grade), and Andrew (Kindergarten).

Mr. Arturo Pedroso, Trustee

Managing Director and Regional Director at Bessemer Trust. Arturo is an alum of St. Philip’s and Ransom Everglades School. He and his wife, Gloria, have two children; a daughter, Luciana, age 2, and a son Nicolas, age 1 (both future St. Philip’s students).

Mrs. Jennifer Montoya, SHA President

Mrs. Montoya is connected to classrooms and parents throughout the school community. She and her husband, Gabriel Montoya, have two children; Oliver  (a current 5th grader)  and Georgina, (current PreK-4). Jennifer is very involved in St. Philip’s Episcopal School and has served in a variety of volunteer roles including several years as Gala Chair. 

Mrs. Ellie Rodriguez, Trustee

Mrs. Rodriguez completed her term as SHA president. Ellie Rodriguez is a Cuban-American television host, spokesperson, and producer. She resides in South Miami, Florida with her husband and two children; Jagger (a current 5th grader at St. Philip’s) and Adrian (a current 4th grader).

Mr. Riley Smith, Trustee

Born and raised in Coconut Grove, FL, where he currently resides with his wife Kelly and two daughters, Taylor, a St. Philip’s alumna, is in 7th grade at Ransom Everglades School, and Logan, a current 2nd grader at St. Philip’s. Riley is the President of the Riley Smith Group of EWM Realtors, an affiliate of Berkshire Hathaway, since 2002.

Ms. Joanie Stringer, Trustee

Born in Lake Forest, IL, and moved to Miami in 2013 when she married her husband, Jon Rank, who is a native of Miami. They joined the parish in 2013 and have three daughters Grace (1st Grade),  Mary, age 4, and Annabelle, age 18 months. Joanie sits on the board of the National Museum of Women in the Arts in Washington D.C., the American Red Cross of Greater Miami & The Keys, and the Board Development Committee and Heartbeat of Miami.

Mrs. Laura Walker, Trustee Emeritus

Mrs. Walker began her work in Episcopal schools in 1983 as a teacher at St. Thomas Episcopal Parish School, Coral Gables, where she rose to become Head of School. She was Head of School and President of Palmer Trinity School in Palmetto Bay. She has also served on the boards of the Florida Council of Independent Schools, the Dade County Association of Academic Non-Public Schools, and a number of philanthropic and cultural institutions in greater Miami.

Dr. Philip Floyd, Immediate Past Chair

Dr. Floyd served on the Board for 9 years.  His three children, Carter Mackenzie, and Emory, all attended St. Philip’s.
